Was in Lukut around 4pm to pick up my grandmother and decided to pack some food for dinner. Decided to pack the Curry Chicken Bun but as grandmother cannot take spicy food, we opted for the dual flavour, pork rib curry and tong po yok....
We were in PJ over the weekend and decided to try the Thai Boat Noodles at Kuchai Lama. Waited 30 mins for the seat, another 20 mins to be served and it took us only 10 to 15 mins to finish the 12 bowls of noodles...

My mum keep insisting that she can cook better lo.. unfortunately I told her she is not Thai lady la....

Frankly to enjoy thai food, you need to put all the 4 condiments on the tables (fish sauce, chili flakes, sugar and another chili sauce), otherwise it be will be bland.....
Sun set on 22 August 2014.. it was a sad day for the nation as victims of MH17 arrived home in Malaysia... .Whenever the DJ or TV announcers mentioned tht they are home, my eyes will start to tears. I finally found a job at the end of June 2010 and was advised to report to work on 02-Aug-2010. It was reported in the news that the job market in m'sia had improved but i dont sense or see it anyway...... or could it becoz of my age which makes it very diffcult for company to see the potential for hiring an old maid like me...

During the 1st day, we went though the usual stuff of self introduction and also introduction to the company history, vision, mission and HR stuff by the HR department. Had to go to maybank during lunch hour to fix my ATM card but was informed the chip was blocked by some sticky stuff and by rubbing on it, i was able to use the card again.... was terrified over the weekend as I was not able to withdraw $$ to use....

Had full day today where we were introduced to the Ops and also the job description. After going through all those briefing, I felt that I can work in this company happily. It sounds scary with those evacuation/repatriation and etc.... but i believe i can work with this company as I am hardworking and does not mind hard work. Had packet some satays for my bro and he commented that the fish are not fresh, but I think the satay marinade is not strong enough to mask the smell of the fish….. Recently, one girl does not wan her current fixed lunch hour break decided to team up with a new colleague and insisted to rotate our lunch break. After some discussion with other colleagues realised that only 2 out of the 7 person in the team wanted to rotate the lunch break… and since we are not able to come to a conclusion, the TM decided to hold an urgent meeting. And then it was out in the open that she does not want 12 noon lunch break now and wants later break at 1pm … sigh and the rest of the team mate refused to change. Finally we decided to slot another lunch break at 1245 noon or 1.15 pm so that she can go lunch nearer to 1pm and then she can proceed for her prayer…. holy meh ?? The drama she created to get what she wants …. And she dares to insist to rotate while none of us in the team had agreed to it …. well my TM deserves it, she favoured her most of the time and was given priority for time off while none of us can take and even if we apply, the TM will ask lots of question, or ask if we can postpone or depends on the call situation. Towards the end of the day, we given up asking her for our time off . super sianz ah working here !!!mongamonghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06241965570652833808noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8143426640273816051.post-22943699012140368052010-03-21T07:01:00.000-07:002010-03-21T07:03:40.699-07:00mine mom......
mine gung-ho mommy!!! She twisted her right ankle on Wed late evening and I got the news only on Thursday as my cousin im to ask what happened as my elder bro took ½ day leave on thur (yup…. News spread very fast in sban). Called and she told me how she twisted her ankle as she carried the baby into the car…. sigh… so frustrated with such inconsiderate ppl….. My elder bro bought her to a notorious orthopaedics in Sban and was she was given an injection to ease the pain. The doc did an X-ray, nothing serious but a mild twist to her ankle, nothing it. Why I called the doc notorious. For the past few times she sees this doc, he kept asking her to go for kneecap surgery!! For what??? She is having problem with varicose veins and not her kneecap wor!!! I was worried sick about her and wanted to take leave on Friday, which I know will be impossible as someone from the department had taken leave on that day. Impromptu, I and 2 colleagues decided to have lunch at this restaurant today to check out the new décor.

The open concept kitchen was moved to the back of the restaurant, releasing more space at the front and customer can smoke on the ground floor as it was not air conditioned. However, the open air concept on the 1st level was removed and the whole floor is now fitted with air-con, which means no smoking allowed!! However, with new and bigger furniture, the whole restaurant seems more crowded. We were advised that there were more seats available upstairs and when we went up to the 1st floor, it was crowded and no tables were available. Hence, we moved down again and managed to secure a table. We ordered their set lunch (for 3 to 4 persons), which comes with 3 plates of chicken rice, quarter chicken, Soup of the day (2 bowls), roast pork, stewed pork with muay choy and La La soup. The chicken and stewed pork with muay choy are very good, as the chicken meat are soft and tender, and the pork melts in your mouth. Total the bill comes to $59.80 (approximately $20 per person). Very fulfilling and satisfying meal…. Still feeling very full now!!

I think their chicken rice set had also increased from $9.90 to $12 per person. I already don’t feel like paying $9.90 for chicken rice set and which such increase, I doubt I will go there often… this will be once in awhile treat for myself…… mongamonghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06241965570652833808noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8143426640273816051.post-43332588445776535092009-04-26T18:08:00.000-07:002009-04-26T18:11:06.997-07:0026Apr09's morning ......Yesterday, I nearly knocked into a boy (age around 7 to 8 years old) near my aunt's house. We were there to visit my aunt and to pass her some fried fish paste. We were there for approximately 10 to 20 mins and decided to leave as my mom needs to do some grocery shopping. Luckily I was driving quite slowly due to the road bump. The annoying part was this young boy saw my car and he stopped but at the last min, he decided to have a go and rushed across the road... thank god, I managed to brake on time.... Saw his family was waiting for him in a car nearby and guess he is worried that they leave without him...I was stunned for a moment and thereafter started swearing... got to admit, if I really knocked into him, I will not pity him. Coz he does it to himself........ I was again at that area in the late evening and saw children running, playing and cycling on the road… well, it is a housing estate but that does not mean there are no cars in that area and parents needs to keep their eyes on their children … think the parents needs to have their head check for the correct mentality!!mongamonghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06241965570652833808noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8143426640273816051.post-71826630607350196462009-04-21T20:57:00.000-07:002009-04-21T20:59:30.197-07:00teamwork ........Teamwork - From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Teamwork is a joint action by two or more people or a group, in which each person contributes with different skills and Express his or her individual interests and opinions to the unity and efficiency of the group in order to achieve common goals.
This does not mean that the individual is no longer important; however, it does mean that effective and efficient teamwork goes beyond individual accomplishments.
